Okanagan Lake
This race usually sells out in advance so book early.  The race itself is a 750m swim, 18.5k bike, and a 5k run.  The bike distance is shortened slightly from a typical sprint but it doesn't make the ride any less challenging.  Here is a run-down of the course.

SWIM - There is a beach start for this event which shouldn't be a problem.  Kin Beach has a sandy bottom and is quite shallow.  More...

Muddy smiles
Mudd, Sweat, and Tears invaded the Okanagan this weekend.  Lake Okanagan Resort served as the host for this 10k obstacle challenge event.  The perfect weather was complimented with perfect smiles (and a lot of mud).  Check out the amazing photo gallery for this event and stop by our Facebook page to tag your friends.

Beautiful assault of balsam root in Kal Park
The Dirty Feet Kal Park 50 was in action in Vernon on Sunday.  This is the inaugural running of this Ultra and it also offers a 25 & 8k options.  This run is not for the faint of heart.  1100 meters of elevation increase / decrease will put anyone's heart rate on tilt.  This is truly an amazing race and the runners enjoyed incredible views of Kalamalka Lake and were overwhelmed by the balsam root in full bloom.  Check out the photo gallery and come back later this week to read the review of the event.
