Set in spectacular Invermere, BC, the Heart of the Rockies Triathlon is one of BC's oldest independently running triathlons, and has one of the most awe-inspiring backdrops of any race.  This truly family oriented event is a two day affair with the Young Hearts Youth Triathlon on Saturday followed by the adult race on Sunday.  The event offers Sprint, Olympic, and Relay Team options.  The pristine waters of Windermere Lake serves as the centre-piece for the triathlon.  If you are a timid newbie or a seasoned veteran, the swim course is the best you'll find anywhere!  The "V" shape out and back course combined with typically calm waters, provides athletes the opportunity to avoid congestion, and post ultra-fast swim times.  The bike and run courses run along side the lake offering participants panoramic Columbia Valley views that just can't be duplicated anywhere.  Register for this event!  While you're at it, check out our Kootenay training retreat report. The Columbia Valley offers something for everyone including world class golf, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, and water sports.

Important Notice to Athletes Racing Out of the Province of BC.  Please note that when racing outside of the province of BC, TriBC members are not covered by TriBC insurance except at National Championship races sanctioned by Triathlon Canada. In all other races outside of BC, you must pay day-of-race insurance fees for that race to ensure insurance coverage.
